What we’re drinking

This month we’re looking at how to keep our spirits lifted, and what better way to celebrate the end of January than to combine our two favourite indulgences, caffeine and vodka! A truly decadent cocktail, the White Russian is easy to make at home and perfect for kicking back with after a long day of remote working. Enjoy!

What we’re eating

Supposedly there is no greater aphrodisiac than seafood, which is why this month’s we’re recommending the Rick Stein Eat at Home kit. Starting at £40 for a three course dinner for two, Rick’s classic Cornish dishes are available now for delivery straight to homes across the UK.

What we’re reading

It has been suggested that reading is the best form of self-care and we couldn’t agree more. It’s calming, helps us tap into our imagination and improves sleep. That’s why we’re keen to share with you a couple of uplifting books for the early part of this year.

The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse (£16.99): This uplifting book brings people together. Charlie Mackesy’s inspirational paintings and delicate calligraphic text are a celebration of kindness, compassion and understanding, conveying an essential message for our time. A truly beautiful book.

Solo: How to Work Alone (and Not Lose Your Mind) (£14.99): This book seems very on topic. By choice or circumstance many of us are working from home. Rebecca Seal shows you how to stay resilient, productive and focused in a company of one. Practical and inspiring, she also explores the idea of meaningful work and helps you define your own success. A must read for motivation!
