Discovery Series Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

6 Bottle Case

Our Pinot Noir Rosé 2020 is part of the Chapel Down Discovery Series. Our Head Winemaker Josh and his team are continually experimenting with different varieties and styles and will release small batches of new wines each year as part of this series.

The most recent edition is a delectable new Pinot Noir Rosé. Derived from 100% Pinot Noir grape, hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, it’s beautifully light in colour. It has aromas of cranberry citrus and raspberry, there’s a refreshing twist that you’d come to expect from a Chapel Down Wine with an almost weightless texture on the palate.

The perfect wine to savour on a summer’s day in the garden with friends, and we’re sure once you’ve tried it, it’s all you’ll want to drink!

Winemaking

The majority of our Pinot Noir fruit is reserved for our sparkling wines, however the exceptional 2020 vintage gave near perfect conditions from which to produce a stunning single variental rose expression. Grapes were hand-picked and whole bunch pressed before cool fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the natural fruit flavours.
