Fruit is whole-bunch pressed with the majority of colour coming from the Rondo and Regent rather than from skin maceration. This gives a light, smooth characteristic to the wine. Cool fermentation and early clarification also helps with the light effortle
Great served chilled with barbeques, salads and grilled shellfish.
Enjoy this wine at its optimum between now and 2018.
A cool summer in 2015 was followed by a dry, sunny autumn. The higher acidity levels in 2015 gives the wine a sense of freshness and immediacy which typifies the style of English wine.
"Delicate aromas of red berries. Fresh and dry with crisp acidity and a clean, refreshing finish. Serve with grilled shellfish."
"I’d be happy to splash a tenner on Chapel Down’s delicate, pretty English Rosé which is mainly based on Pinot Noir, but intriguingly includes five other red wine grapes."
"A fruity combination of red grapes from Kent, this has summer written all over it. With its raspberry and cranberry flavours, it's versatile enough for a picnic or barbecue, or just as nice as a perky aperitif."
