Hand-picked grapes are destemmed before fermentation in stainless steel. Cap management is through pumpovers twice daily, warm fermentation helps extraction of both colour and tannin. Maturation occurs in stainless steel for 9 months before bottling in Au
The low tannins in this wine make it an ideal accompaniment to duck and lamb dishes as well as richer game dishes.
Enjoy this wine at its optimum between now and 2017.
2014 was an excellent English wine vintage. An early spring gave the grapes longer to ripen on the vine, producing wines with greater depth and intensity as well as slightly higher alcohol.
"One of the better English reds, made from Rondo and Pinot Noir grapes. It produces a medium bodied wine that is perfect for sipping pre-theatre to keep a clear head."
