Introducing Vintage Reserve 2019: An exclusive cuvée for the height of gastronomy

by Chapel Down 12 April 2022

We are delighted to announce the launch of a very special cuvée, Chapel Down Vintage Reserve 2019. From today the wine will appear on some of the UK’s finest wine lists and enjoyed at the tables of some of the nation’s most iconic restaurants and bars, our latest English sparkling wine has been curated to be savoured with food for those special moments.

A cuvée for the height of gastronomy

The gastronomic potential of Vintage Reserve comes from the meticulous expertise that our Head Winemaker, Josh Donaghay-Spire, and his team have dedicated to crafting this distinctly culinary wine.

Vintage Reserve 2019 is a traditional blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Blanc and is aged for 18 months on lees. Produced from the 2019 vintage which saw a warm and dry spring followed by an extended summer season, the hand harvested fruit is sourced primarily from our Kent vineyards.

With a lower dosage of 5g/l, this sparkling wine is clean and refreshing with a higher acidity and versatility. With notes of Bramley apple, lemon shortbread and light red berries, it is pairs perfectly with a variety of dishes; from grilled seafood to veal and poultry.
