Within Kent, the North Downs is gaining particular acclaim for the sparkling wine produced on its soils. Shaped by the same free-draining chalk formations found 200 miles to the south-east in the Champagne region of France, the Kent North Downs provide ideal terroir to create the consistently high-quality fruit required to make award-winning sparkling wine.
Using a blend of whole-bunch pressed and de-stemmed grapes gives this wine the perfect balance of texture and elegance. Cool fermentation in stainless steel and no malolactic fermentation retains the naturally crisp and fresh character of this cool-climate Chardonnay.
