TASTING NOTES: BRUT RESERVE 2019

TASTING NOTES: BRUT RESERVE 2019

by Chapel Down 11 March 2024

Chapel Brut Reserve 2019 is an award-winning wine created exclusively for our restaurant, hotel, and bar accounts.

Brut Reserve 2019 is a traditional blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Blanc and is aged for 18 months on lees. Produced from the 2019 vintage which saw a warm and dry spring followed by an extended summer season, the hand-harvested fruit is sourced primarily from our Kent vineyards.

This English sparkling wine is crisp, fresh and elegant, with notes of apple, light red berries and brioche. As an ‘extra brut’ it is ideal with food, especially grilled chicken and seafood, or enjoyed as an aperitif.

Our Head Winemaker, Josh Donaghay-Spire, shares his personal tasting notes of this exclusive English sparkling wine, all filmed at our Chapel Down home in Tenterden, Kent.
